Cuba is the larger Island in the Caribbean Sea the name “Cuba” comes from the Taino(native) language and though the exact means is not clear, it may be translated either as “where fertile land is abundant”(cubao) or as “great place”(coabana).

The Cuban Flag was designed by the writer, poet and designer Miguel Teurbe Tolon according to the instruction of the General Narciso Lopez. The Flag   hoisted for the first time in 1850 in Cardenas by the members of the liberal expedition of Narciso Lopez.
